Starter, Removing And Installing, 1.5L TFSI (0K4). 2.0L TFSI/TDI And Dual Clutch Transmission: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when the ignition is switched off. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nut -2- and remove the ground wire -1-.

-- If equipped, then remove the nut -3-.

-- If equipped, then remove the bolt -1-.

-- Free up the coolant pipe -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4- by sliding the retainer toward the rear and pressing the release downward.

-- Remove the cap -5-.

-- Remove the 30/B+ terminal wire -6- from the starter -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the starter upward.
