E-Box, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when the ignition is switched off. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the engine control module and set it aside with the connectors attached. Refer to ENGINE/MOTOR CONTROL MODULE -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Press the release buttons in direction of -arrow- and remove the cover -1- for the engine compartment E-box.

-- Using a screwdriver, release the tab -2- and remove the front cover -1- upward in direction of -arrow-.

-- Cut the lower cable ties on the wiring harness.

-- Release the retainers -1, 2 and 4- in direction of -arrow-, remove and set aside the fuse panel B -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and then remove the engine control module bracket -1-.

-- Release the tab -3- and disengage the engine compartment E-box -2- at the threaded pins.

-- Remove the engine compartment E-box upward.
