Wheel Bearing Unit, Removing And Installing, Fwd Vehicles, Version 1: Removing

-- Remove the brake rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the dust cap -3- from the seat by tapping lightly on the claw of the Puller - Grease Cap: VW 637/2 -2- with the hammer -1-.

-- Dismount the dust cap using the Puller - Grease Cap: VW637/2 -item 1-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the bolt if handled incorrectly.

- Never use an impact wrench to loosen or tighten.

- Position the bolt by hand only and screw in the first threads.

-- Remove the bolt -1- using Socket - Xzn 18mm: T10162 A .

-- Remove the wheel bearing unit -2- from the axle stub.
