Overview - Drive Axle, With Inner CV Joint With Stub Shafts
- Bolt
- Replace after removing
- Loosening and tightening. Refer to DRIVE AXLE THREADED CONNECTION, LOOSENING AND TIGHTENING
- Clean the threads in the CV joint with a thread tap before installing.
- : WHT.005.437 / black = 200 Nm +180° additional turn
- : WHT.005.437.A / silver = 200 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Outer CV Joint
- Only replace completely
- Removing. Refer to Figure.
- Installing. Refer to Figure.
- Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester Refer to OUTER CV JOINT, CHECKING .
- Circlip
- Replace after removing
- Insert in shaft groove
- Clamp
- Replace after removing
- Tensioning. Refer to Figure.
- Outer CV Joint CV Boot
- Check for tears and scuffing
- Clamp
- Replace after removing
- Tensioning. Refer to Figure.
- Drive Axle
- Clamp
- Replace after removing
- Tensioning. Refer to Figure.
- Inner CV Joint CV Boot
- Check for tears and scuffing
- Circlip
- Replace after removing
- Insert in shaft groove
- Clamp
- Replace after removing
- Tensioning. Refer to Figure.
- Inner CV Joint
- Only replace completely
- Removing. Refer to Figure.
- Installing. Refer to Installing inner CV joint .
- Protective Cap
Grease quantity and type
- Grease joint again when replacing CV boot.
- Pay attention to the grease type for the outer and inner joint. Refer to the Parts Information.
