Parking Brake, Manually Loosening

Due to a mechanical or electrical malfunction, the parking brake may need to be released manually in order to move the vehicle.

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Hex Socket: T10621 

Procedure 

-- Remove the rear wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the parking brake motor from the brake caliper, while doing so turn the parking brake motor back and forth.

-- Turn back the input shaft with a : T10621  -A- until the brakes are loosened.

-- Install the parking brake motor after successfully eliminating the malfunction. Refer to Left Parking Brake Motor -V282- /Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
