Brake Master Cylinder, Removing And Installing, Vacuum Brake Booster: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

CAUTION:

- Before installation, check the brake master cylinder if the actuator pin for the brake lamp switch as well as the pistons are inserted in the brake master cylinder.

Replace the self-locking nut nuts after removing.
Replace the gasket between the master brake cylinder and the brake booster.
Do not let any brake fluid run into the brake booster.

-- When inserting the brake master cylinder, make sure the pushrod is seated correctly in the brake booster.

-- Install the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the brake fluid reservoir. Refer to BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Faulty brakes increase the risk of an accident.

- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
