Brake Booster, Removing And Installing, Electromechanical Brake Booster: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• Replace the seal between the brake booster and bulkhead.
• The new seal is not bonded.

-- Remove any bonded joint residue from the brake booster and the bulkhead.

-- Using a hot air gun, warm the adhesive residue at a low setting and remove it.

-- Clean the surfaces thoroughly.

• Replace the seal between the brake booster and bulkhead.
• The new seal is not bonded.

-- Attach the brake pedal to the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, ATTACHING TO BRAKE BOOSTER .
