QUATTRO Name Badge, Removing And Installing, Q3

• General Information - Name Badges and Emblems, Replacing. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION - NAME BADGES AND EMBLEMS, REPLACING .
• The following components must be replaced after removal. Refer to OVERVIEW - NAME BADGES AND EMBLEMS .

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Roller: T40400

• Wiring Harness Repair Set - Hot Air Blower: VAS 1978/14A

• Cleaning Solution. Refer to the Parts Information.

Name Badge, Removing

-- Use the Wiring Harness Repair Set - Hot Air Blower: VAS 1978/14A  to warm up the name badge -2- in the adhesion area and remove the mount -1-.

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Push a narrow screwdriver -4- between the reinforcement brace -3- for the radiator grille and the catch -2-.

-- Release the catch -arrow- and remove the mount -1- toward the rear.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

Installing 

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• The cover and the name badge must be at room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

-- Remove the adhesive residue.

-- Clean the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution and let it dry.

-- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape -1-.

-- Position the name badge -3- on the mark -arrow- on the mount -2-.

-- Push on the name badge with the Roller : T40400  on the cover.

• Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
