Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Upholstery Clip Pliers: VAG1634

• The following components must be replaced after removal. Refer to OVERVIEW - COVER AND CUSHION .

Procedure 

-- Remove the cover and cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Cover and Cushion, Separating, Seat Cushion:

-- Use pliers to cut through the upholstery clips -3- all the way around the bottom of the seat.

-- Remove the cover -2- from the cushion -1- as much as possible and fold upward.

-- Cut the remaining upholstery clips and remove the cover from the cushion.

-- Pull off the cover -3- from the cushion -2- as far as possible and cut upholstery clips -1- using pliers.

-- Cut the remaining upholstery clips and remove the cover from the cushion.

Assembling 

Assembly is performed in reverse order.
