Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Q3 Backrest Cushion: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward.

-- Position the rear seat all the way toward the rear.

-- Remove the headrest. Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the headrest guides. Refer to HEADREST GUIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SEAT CUSHION .

-- Move the rear seat into the most forward position and fold the backrest forward.

Left Rear Seat: 

-- Remove the rear seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Disengage the belt end fitting -1- on the seat frame.

-- Remove the lower center cushion. Refer to LOWER CENTER CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 .

-- Fold the pass-through forward.

-- Unclip the cover -1- using the Trim Removal Wedge: 3409  on the backrest frame in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Disengage the rear cover on the backrest frame in direction of -arrow B- and remove.

-- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry out the clamping strips -1, 2, 3 and 4- for the cover from the backrest frame starting at the corners -arrows- and remove all around.

-- Equipped on some models: remove the thorax airbag. Refer to REAR THORAX AIRBAG WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

TIP:

Equipment versions with a thorax airbag can be identified by the "Airbag" name badge in the cover.

-- Fold the rear seat backrest toward the rear.

-- Loosen the cover with the cushion from the backrest frame and remove them.

Right Rear Seat:

-- Unclip the side cover -2- at the bottom of the rear seat backrest using the Pry Lever: 80-200  -arrow-.

-- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry out the clamping strips -1, 2, 3 and 4- for the cover from the backrest frame starting at the corners -arrows- and remove all around.
