Seat Height Adjuster, Removing And Installing, Manual Seat Adjustment: Removing

-- Move the front seat to the highest position and then lower it one stroke; this will keep the pretension on the torsion bar as low as possible.

-- Remove the seat height adjustment handle. Refer to SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat frame trim panel on the side sill side. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIDE SILL SIDE .

The lower bolt must be removed from below.

-- Push the cover and cushion on the seat pan near the threaded connections to the side.

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- If equipped, remove the lock washer -2-.

-- Detach and remove the seat height adjuster from the seat pan.
