Driver Backrest Adjustment Motor -V45- /Front Passenger Backrest Adjustment Motor -V46-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture: VAS6136  . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Detach the molding -1, 2 and 3- at the backrest frame by hand or using the T-Handle Hook: 3438  .

-- Open the backrest cover on the clamping strips starting on the tunnel side.

-- To do this, press the front side of the cover -1- with the U-shaped profile inward in direction of -arrow A- and remove the rear side of the cover -2- with the flat channel in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Sport seat: remove the clips -arrows- with the Pry Lever: 80-200  .

-- Pull the cover with the lower cushion as far away as possible from the backrest frame.

-- Mark the left and right angle position of the backrest hinge to the backrest frame with paint -arrows-.

-- Destroy the lock washer -1- and remove it.

-- Push the adjustment shaft -2- to the opposite side out of the backrest frame.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the backrest adjustment motor -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the removed backrest adjustment motor.
