Glove Compartment Handle Lock Cylinder, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the glove compartment handle. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the cover -2- from the glove compartment handle -3- -arrow- carefully with a flat-head screwdriver at the position shown.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Remove the cover and spring -1-.

CAUTION:

Improper handling increases the risk of destroying the lock cylinder.

The retainers and pressure springs could fall out.

- Remove and install the lock cylinder only with the key inserted correctly.

-- Insert the key -3- into the lock cylinder.

-- Carefully release the catches -1- one after the other using a small flat-head screwdriver and remove the lock cylinder -2- at the same time -arrow-.
