Spoiler, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the rear lid upper trim panel. Refer to REAR LID UPPER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -1- and the antenna wire -3-.
-- Release the retainers -arrows- and free up the cable grommets -2-.
-- Remove the nuts -3-.
-- Release the clip -1- with needle nose pliers -arrows-.
-- Close the rear lid.
-- Press the spoiler -2- off of the rear lid using the Wedge Set : T10383/1 and remove it.
-- If the spoiler is to be replaced, also remove the following components:
- High-mounted brake lamp. Refer to HIGH-MOUNTED BRAKE LAMP BULB, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Spoiler lip for RS Q3 Sportback. Refer to Spoiler lip for RS Q3 Sportback below.
Spoiler lip for RS Q3 Sportback
To ensure the original installation position, before removing make photos of the spoiler lip. As additional installation help determine the dimension of the front edge of the spoiler -1- to the spoiler lip -2- in multiple places -x-.
-- Warm the spoiler lip -2- in the adhesion area with a hot air gun.
-- Carefully pry the spoiler lip off the spoiler -1- using the Wedge Set : T10383/1 .
