Hood Latch Release Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the vehicle electrical system control module bracket. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES .

-- Loosen the release cable -2- from the cable bracket -3- and disengage the release cable nipple -1-.

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 3-.

-- Release the catch -arrow- and remove the cover -2-.

-- Free up the coolant hose -2-.

-- Release the catches -arrows- and remove the air duct upper section -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- on the left and right.

-- Unclip and remove the lower section -1- of the air duct.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air duct -1-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the housing cover -1-.

-- Loosen the release cable -4- from the cable bracket -3- and disengage the release cable nipple -2-.

-- Loosen the washer fluid reservoir filler neck from the lock carrier. Refer to WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the release cable -1- on the body and on the hinge -arrows- and push the grommet -2- toward the rear.

-- Remove the grommet on the body and remove the release cable outward.

-- Remove the hood latch. Refer to HOOD LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the housing cover -1-.

-- Loosen the release cable -4- from the cable bracket -3- and disengage the release cable nipple -2-.

-- Release the catches and remove the coupling from the lock carrier.

-- Free up the release cables and guide them out of the lock carrier.
