Convertible Top Compartment Enclosure Control Button -E896-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Pull the lever -1- and release the rear seat backrest.

-- Pull the lever and hold and remove the screw -2-.

-- Pry out the backrest release in direction of -arrow- and let it hang with the release cable attached.

-- Reach through the opening and release the clamp -2-.

-- Remove the trim -3- with the switch from the luggage compartment side trim panel -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

TIP:

If the button cannot be removed as described, then remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the hooks in direction of -arrows- carefully with a small screwdriver.
