Outer Rear Seat Belt Guide, Removing And Installing, A5 SPORTBACK: Removing
-- Remove the side cushion. Refer to SIDE CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 SPORTBACK .
-- Remove the D-pillar trim panel bracket. Refer to D-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Risk of malfunction.
- Do not, under any circumstances, turn the bolts -2- when removing and installing the seat belt guide -3-. They are set by the manufacturer.
- Replace the entire seat belt guide if damaged.
-- Press and hold the seat belt guide hooks -1- upward with a long screwdriver.
-- Lift the C-pillar trim panel -4- slightly and push the seat belt guide toward the rear in direction of -arrow- until the bolt heads -2- can be disengaged from the bracket on the body.
-- Remove the seat belt guide -3- on the side toward the vehicle interior. Lift the C-pillar trim panel slightly to do this.
-- If installed, disconnect the line for the Emergency Call Module Antenna -R263-.
-- Equipped on some models on the right side of the vehicle: disconnect the connector for the parking aid warning buzzer.
-- Thread the seat belt webbing out and remove the seat belt guide.
