Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing, 3.0L Engine: Removing

-- Remove the lock carrier cover, right and left air intake grille as well as the bumper cover end plate. Refer to Front Bumper .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air duct -1-.

-- Release the catches -arrow- and remove the air ducts -1 and 3- from the radiator fold it inward and leave it in this position.

TIP:

The accessibility to the lower catches is possible through the opening for the air intake grille in the bumper cover.

-- Loosen the left and right hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct pipe from the charge air cooler.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- on the left and right sides and disengage the charge air cooler from the radiator.

-- Position the charge air cooler at an angle (right side upward) and remove it in this position downward.
