Upper Air Duct Pipe, Removing And Installing, 3.0L Engine: Removing

-- Pay attention to the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to Guidelines For Clean Working Conditions .

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover, Removing And Installing .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to Front Bumper .

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to Noise Insulation, Removing And Installing .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the air guides -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the upper air duct -arrow-.

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.

-- Move the radiator slightly forward and secure it with for example with a plastic wedge so it does not tilt back.

-- Free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -2- and remove the air duct pipe.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the connection and hose -1- for the crankcase ventilation to do so press the release buttons on both sides.

-- Move the connection to the side.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- for the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-.

-- Free up the coolant ventilation line -2-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct pipe and tie up to the left side.

-- Remove the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-. Refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-, Removing And Installing .

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the : T40398 if necessary.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- If installed, remove the hose -arrow- for the EVAP system to do so push the release buttons on both sides.

-- If necessary, disconnect the connector -2- for the Recirculation Valve, Bank 1 -N625-.

-- Free up electrical wiring harness -arrows- and the clips -1- from the oil dipstick tube.

-- Pull the wiring duct -3- off the ball pin and free up.

-- Disconnect the connector -4- for the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71- and free up the wiring harness -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the : T40398 if necessary.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -6- and hose -3- for the crankcase ventilation to do so press the release buttons on both sides.

-- Remove the upper air duct pipe -1- from the intake manifold, push to the right -arrow A- and at the same time pivot to the right -arrow B- upward and remove. To do so push the coolant hose on the left cylinder head to the side and guide out the upper air duct pipe on the wiring harness.
