Ribbed Belt
- Check for wear
- Do not kink
- Belt path. Refer to Fig 2.
- Before removing, mark the running direction using chalk or a felt-tip pen.
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT FOR A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE .
- When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the belt pulleys

- For the tensioner

- 25 Nm
Tensioner
- For the ribbed belt
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER FOR A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE .

- Tightening specification -item ) OVERVIEW - CYLINDER BLOCK, BELT PULLEY SIDE, BELT DRIVE GENERATOR, 2.9L/3.0L ENGINE - List Item: Bolt
Vibration Damper
- Removing and installing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Alignment Sleeve
- Quantity: 2
Bracket
- For the A/C compressor
- Removing and installing. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE .
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
- Always replace after removing.
A/C Compressor
- Removing and installing. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING FROM BRACKET .
Bolt
- Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR POWER UNIT .
Alignment Sleeves
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in stages as follows:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-2 and 3-	Install by hand all the way
2.	-2 and 3-	8 Nm
3.	-2-	90° additional turn
4.	-3-	90° additional turn
