Air Duct Pipe, Removing And Installing, With Radiator Installed 2.9L Engine: Removing

-- Pay attention to the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt from the A/C compressor. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the tensioner for the A/C compressor and move it to the side. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR POWER UNIT .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness.

1. For the Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 -G764-
2. For the Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 1 -G763-

-- Remove the oil filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL FILTER, REPLACING , and cover the opening with a clean cloth.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -2- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Move the air duct pipe -1- to the side.

-- Remove the cover.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the idler roller.

-- Free up the coolant line -2-.

Vehicles with Version 1 Charge Air System: 

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 3- and remove the air duct hose.

Vehicles with Version 2 Charge Air System:

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the air duct pipe -1-.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the : T40398  if necessary.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness -2-.

4 -  For the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-

5 -  For the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-

-- Remove the vacuum hose -6- and hose -3- for the crankcase ventilation to do so press the release buttons on both sides.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the : T40398  if necessary.

-- Carefully pivot the air duct pipe -1- to the left side.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -2- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Remove the lower ventilation pipe -1-.

-- Remove the upper ventilation pipe.
