Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

• If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are found in the engine oil while servicing the engine, the oil passages must be carefully cleaned to prevent subsequent damage. Replace the additional oil spray jet, engine oil cooler and oil filter element. 
• Oil spray jet for piston cooling. Refer to OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD .

1. Bolt
   • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
   • Always replace after removing.
2. Oil Pan Lower Section
   • Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Intake Tube
   • Replace after removing.
   • For the oil pump
4. Bolt
   • 8 Nm +90°
   • Replace after removing.
5. Chain Sprocket
   • For the oil pump
6. Bolt
   • 20 Nm + 90°
   • Always replace after removing.
7. Bolt
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 4 or Fig 5.
   • Always replace after removing.
8. Oil Pan Upper Section
   • Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. Alignment Sleeve
10. Bolt
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
11. Oil Tray
    • Removing and installing. Refer to OIL TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

    • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 6 and Fig 3.
    • Always replace after removing.
15. Alignment Sleeve
16. Seal
    • Always replace after removing.
17. Alignment Sleeve
18. Bolt
    • 8 Nm + 90°
    • Always replace after removing.
19. Oil Pump
    • Do not disassemble
    • Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
20. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing.
21. Seal
    • Always replace after removing.
22. Oil Drain Plug
    • 30 Nm
    • Oil the threads
23. Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
24. Bolt
    • 3 Nm + 90°
    • Always replace after removing.
25. Seal
    • Always replace after removing.

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in stages as follows:

Oil Pan Upper Section - Tightening Specification and Sequence with the Lower Cover for the Camshaft Timing Chain Installed

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
