Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

- If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are found in the engine oil while servicing the engine, the oil passages must be carefully cleaned to prevent subsequent damage. Replace the additional oil spray jet, engine oil cooler and oil filter element.
- Oil spray jet for piston cooling. Refer to OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD .

- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
- Always replace after removing.
- Oil Pan Lower Section
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Intake Tube
- Replace after removing.
- For the oil pump
- Bolt
- 8 Nm +90°
- Replace after removing.
- Chain Sprocket
- For the oil pump
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.
- Bolt
- Oil Pan Upper Section
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Alignment Sleeve
- Bolt
- Always replace after removing.
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
- Oil Tray
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Always replace after removing.

- Always replace after removing.
Oil Pan Lower Section - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Oil Tray - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in stages as follows:

- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
