Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Engine -G82-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 2.9L ENGINE
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Socket T30: T10405
- Straight needle nose pliers, long version, commercially available
- 45° angled needle nose pliers, long version, commercially available
Procedure
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the engine cover and heat shield. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-, remove the coolant pipes from the turbochargers and push to the side.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Free up the crankcase ventilation hose -2- and push the bracket -1- to the side.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Engine -G82- and disconnect the connector -2- ; use needle nose pliers to do so.
- Replace the O-rings after removing them.
-- Insert the engine coolant temperature sensor using needle nose pliers.
-- Install the right rear large coolant pipe. Refer to COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the heat shield and engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
