Coolant Distribution Housing, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• Replace the O-ring and seal after removing.
• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Clean and/or smooth the sealing surfaces of the O-rings.

-- Coat the O-ring with coolant and slide it onto the coolant distribution housing.

-- Install the MPI system fuel rail. Refer to FUEL RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MPI SYSTEM .

-- Insert the coolant distribution housing in the hole on the cylinder block.

-- Install the coolant thermostat. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the front coolant pipes. Refer to FRONT COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
