Upper Timing Chain Cover Seal, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Seal Installer - Drive Axle:VW195 
• Press Piece - 60mm:VW415A 
• Camshaft Installer Kit - Sleeve:3241/4 

Procedure 

-- Remove the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drive out the seal with the :VW195  in direction of -arrow-.

-- Make sure the upper timing chain cover is free of any sealant residue and support it with molded tabs -arrows- on a secure surface and press in the new seal all the way using the :3241/4  .

-- Install the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
