A/C Compressor Ribbed Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Risk of destroying a used ribbed belt by reversing the running direction.

- Mark the running direction before removal.

- Pay attention to the running direction when reinstalling.

-- To tension the ribbed belt pivot the tensioner clockwise -arrow- using the Torx T55 socket.

Audi RS6 / RS7 / RSQ8 / SQ8 / SQ7:

-- Use the long version of the Torx T55 Ring Wrench

All:

-- Lock the tensioner using the Belt Tensioner Locking Tool:T40098 and remove the ribbed belt.
