Input Shaft 1, Disassembling And Assembling: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Drive Sleeve: 30-20
- Press Piece - Trailing Arm: 2010
- Press Piece - Front Control Arm: 2040
- Press Plate: VW401
- Press Plate: VW402
- Press Piece - Multiple Use: VW412
- Wishbone Rubber Mount Assembly Tool: T10219/1
- Press Tool: T40323
- Extracting Tool: T40413/11/
- Input shaft 1 removed. Refer to INPUT SHAFT 1, REMOVING AND INSTALLING SEPARATELY
Disassembling
If necessary, remove the sensor wheel:
Press off the sensor wheel 1
-- Insert the input shaft -1- with the sensor wheel -2- in the corresponding groove of the Press Plate: VW402 -3-.
-- Press off the input shaft -1- downward.
CAUTION:
Risk of Damaging the Input Shaft 1
- Secure the Input Shaft 1 when Pressing Out from Falling!

CAUTION:
Damage to input shaft 1 components
- Individual components may fall out when removing.
- If not removed, make sure that the sensor wheel -1- is not damaged.
The following components can now be removed:
- Label the installation position of the individual components if necessary.
- Thrust Washer
Deposits and debris on the thrust washer are not critical.
Clean the thrust washer before installing if necessary.

- 7th Gear Bearing Inner Race
- 7th Gear Needle Bearing
- 7th Gear Synchronizer Ring
- Synchronizer Hub
- Thrust Pieces
- Locking Collar
- 5th Gear Synchronizer Ring
- 5th Gear Assembly
- Thrust Washer
- 5th Gear Bearing Inner Race
- Component of the input shaft
- 5th Gear Needle Bearing
