Transmission Fluid Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

  • Move vehicle onto a four-pillar workshop hoist or over a work pit so that it is absolutely horizontal for the refilling.

    • Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to the appropriate service information.
    • Equipped on some models: remove the bolts -arrows- and nut -2-.
    • Remove the end panel -1- for the crossbrace
    • Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit - SMN372500- underneath.
WARNING: Danger of eye Injury. 
  • Wear protective eyewear.

CAUTION: Risk of damaging the transmission. 

Without any or with too little transmission fluid inside the transmission:

  • Do not start the engine.
  • Do not tow the vehicle
