Turbocharger, Removing, Cylinder Bank 1 (Right), 2.9L Engine

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Socket T30 :T10405 

If there is mechanical damage to the turbocharger. Refer to If mechanical damage (for example a destroyed compression wheel) is found on the turbocharger, just replacing the turbocharger is not enough. To avoid subsequent damage later, perform the following steps: .

Removing 

-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- using the :T10405  , then slide the EVAP system hose -1- off the turbocharger and move to the side.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -1- and push the catalytic converter or catalytic converter with particulate filter slightly toward the rear.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Before Catalytic Converter -GX10- and free up the wire.

-- Remove the bolts -left arrows- and remove air duct pipe slightly.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the oil and coolant lines.

-- Disconnect the connector -4- for the Recirculation Valve, Bank 1 -N625-.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -1- at the same time to not damage it.

-- Remove the nuts -2- and the turbocharger -3-.

-- Remove the clip -arrow- and the oil return line -1-.
