Brake Pressure Regulator, Checking And Adjusting
The brake pressure regulator is mounted on the body and is controlled from the rear axle via a spring.
Checking function
- Vehicle resting on wheels
-- Depress brake pedal forcefully and release abruptly.
Adjusting
- Brake system filled and bled according to specifications
-- Drive vehicle onto hoist.
-- Release tension from rear axle.
- Rear spring must be fully extended
-- Press brake pressure regulator lever opposite direction of travel.
-- Loosen nut -2-.
-- Bend 7 mm (0.28 in.) diameter rod 90° and place as shown between spring -3- and bearing.
-- Tighten nut -2- to 20 Nm (15 ft lb).
-- Remove rod.
-- Hook tension spring -3- into support.
