Removal And Installation: Driveshaft: Removing
-- Remove wheel cover.
-- On vehicles with alloy wheels, pull cover from wheel with Suction Cup: 3208 .
Do not loosen the bolt/washer assembly for the wheel hub unless the car is standing on its wheels-risk of accident!
-- Remove wheel hub-to-driveshaft mounting bolt (vehicle standing on wheels).
-- Remove wheel bolts.
-- Remove wheel.
-- Remove brake caliper and tie up to body with wire.
-- Remove brake disc.
When removing the right-side driveshaft, remove the cover plate for the fuel tank.
When removing the left-side driveshaft, remove the heat shield for the inner CV joint.
-- Install two wheel bolts in wheel hub and use tire iron or equivalent to hold wheel and prevent turning.
-- Disconnect driveshaft from flange.
-- Pull out ABS wheel speed sensor slightly
-- Remove lower suspension strut mounting bolt (arrow).
-- Remove transverse link from wheel bearing housing (arrow).
-- Swivel wheel bearing housing downward.
-- Remove driveshaft.
