- Removing and installing. Refer to SPRING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AIR SPRING .
- Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
- O-Ring
- Replace if leaking
- Air Line
- If the connecting piece is removed separately (without the attached lines) check if the cutting ring as a loose components is still in the threads and if necessary remove.
- Secure fit of the air line cannot be guaranteed without the cutting ring.
- Connecting piece tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR LINES .
Air Spring Installed Position
NOTE:
Make sure that when filling of vacuumed or newly installed rear axle air springs that both positioning pins from the upper air spring are in the body.
Control the inserting of the upper positioning pin continuously during the filling procedure.
Pay attention that the air filter upper section, completely contacts the body of the system during the filling procedure.
-- Installing and filling the air spring:
- The catches in direction of -arrows- must engage audibly in the rear lower transverse link.
- The catches must engage with the retainer -1-.
- Guide in the positioning pin of the upper air spring -2- while filling in the holes in the body -3-.
