Rear Upper Transverse Link, Removing And Installing: Removing
Before starting work:
-- Versions with coil springs: determine the curb weight position. Refer to VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRINGS, CHECKING THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION FOR AXLE ALIGNMENT .
-- Versions with air suspension: determine the standard vehicle height. Refer to STANDARD VEHICLE HEIGHT FOR AXLE ALIGNMENT ON VEHICLES WITH AIR SUSPENSION, CHECKING .
-- Remove the rear wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
-- Equipment versions with 3.0L TFSI engine: remove the muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DLHB] / MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DLZA, DKMB] / MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DPAA] .
-- Equipment versions with left 3.0L TDI engine: remove the muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DLHB] / MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DLZA, DKMB] / MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DPAA] .
-- Place the :T10337 on the :VAS6931 and position it at the bottom of the subframe.
There is a risk of an accident when lowering or lifting the vehicle when the engine and gearbox jack is underneath it.
- Never lift or lower the vehicle when the engine and gearbox jack is underneath it.
- Never leave the engine and gearbox jack under the vehicle any longer than necessary.
-- Loosen the bolt -arrow-, and lower the subframe a maximum of 12 mm.
-- Disconnect the threaded connection -3-.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the upper transverse link -2-.
