Front Passenger Airbag Deactivation Key Switch, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

There is a risk of injury.

- Discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker.

Make sure the connectors are pushed in all the way and that they engage audibly.
Make sure the wires are not pinched.
Make sure the Front Passenger Airbag Deactivation Key Switch -E224- engages audibly into the housing.

-- If battery was disconnected, follow all steps required for reconnecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

CAUTION:

Risk of airbag deployment.

There is a risk of injury.

- Switching on the ignition (key/button) after assembly may only be done when the driver seat is positioned all the way back.

If the instrument cluster indicates a fault in the airbag system after assembly, the DTC memory must be checked, erased, and then checked again. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
