Latch, Removing And Installing

Rear Lid Lock Unit -VX25-

With Rear Lid Central Locking System Motor -V53-, Lock Pawl Contact Switch -F443- ; equipped on some models: Rear Lid Contact Switch -F111-

Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel and the latch cover. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Open the cover -1- for fastening the release cable -arrow-.

-- Turn the operating cable 90° in the direction of -arrow A- at the lever -6- and remove it from the support bracket on the latch -5-.

-- Using the retainer -1-, secure the operating lever -8- on the rear side -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the release cable nipple -7- from the release lever -arrow C- and free up the release cable.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -2 and 4-.

-- Remove the latch.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
