Lower Air Duct Pipe On Throttle Valve Control Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

Left Lower Air Duct Pipe on Throttle Valve Control Module:

-- Remove the A/C compressor from the bracket and tie it up on the left side. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ON BRACKET .

-- Disconnect the connector -3- for the Charge Air Pressure Sensor 2 -G447-.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the air duct pipe -1-.

TIP:

Depending on the accessibility the bolts with the Socket:T10405 or with the Offset Screwdriver:T40398 must be removed.

Right Lower Air Duct Pipe on Throttle Valve Control Module:

CAUTION:

The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is warm. There is a risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.

- Wear safety gloves.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening it.

-- Open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the catch -arrow-.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -1-, remove the air duct hose from the connection and push to the side (shown with the wheel spoiler removed)

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS 6208 underneath.

Audi RSQ8:

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose and let the coolant drain out.

Continuation for All Vehicles:

-- Lift the clamp -3- and remove the lower right coolant hose from the radiator and drain the coolant.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.

- When performing procedures near the radiator maintain a distance to the radiator.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the radiator fan and push to the side.

Vehicles with Starter Generator:

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - BUMPER COVER .

-- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Free up the 48 V B+ wire.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31- (shown without the 48 V B+ wire bracket).

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the air duct pipe -1-.

TIP:

Depending on the accessibility the bolts with the Socket:T10405 or with the Offset Screwdriver:T40398 must be removed.
