1. Bolt
   • Replace after removing
   • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 4.
2. Seal
   • For the crankshaft on the transmission side
   • Replacing. Refer to CRANKSHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .
3. Alignment Sleeve
   • Quantity: 2
4. Lower Timing Chain Cover
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Bank 2 Cylinder Head Gasket (Left)
6. Cylinder Bank 2 Upper Timing Chain Cover (Left)
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVERS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
7. Bolt
   • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
8. Alignment Sleeve
   • Quantity: 2
9. Sleeve
   • For the transmission bolted connections
   • Not required for reinstallation
10. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
11. Heat Shield
12. Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve
    • Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318- Cylinder Bank 1 (right)
    • Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 2 -N319- Cylinder Bank 2 (left)
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
13. Seal
    • Replace after removing
14. Alignment Sleeve
    • Quantity: 2
15. Cylinder Bank 1 Upper Timing Chain Cover (Right)
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVERS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
16. Bolt
    • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
17. Bank 1 Cylinder Head Gasket (Right)
18. Alignment Sleeve
    • Quantity: 2
19. Seal
    • Replace after removing
20. Intake Camshaft Adjustment Valve
    • Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205- Cylinder Bank 1 (right)
    • Camshaft Adjustment Valve 2 -N208- Cylinder Bank 2 (left)
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
21. Bolt
    • 9 Nm

-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 8- to 9 Nm in the sequence shown.

• Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
