Crankshaft, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
• Lock the gear backlash with the Adjusting Pin:T40362  .

-- Note the allocation:

• Bearing Cap. Refer to Figure.
• Bearing Shells. Refer to MAIN BEARING SHELLS ALLOCATION .

-- Coat the contact surface of the bearing shells with engine oil.

-- Move the crankshaft into the installation position and slide on and at the same time pay attention to the markings:

• The mark -A- from the crankshaft -1- must be positioned between both marks -B- from the gear -2- for the balance shaft.
