Cylinder Bank 2 (Left) Camshaft Housing, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation module. Refer to CRANKCASE VENTILATION MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fuel injectors. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the camshaft timing chain from the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Remove the noise insulation lower section.

-- Loosen and remove the camshaft housing bolts in the sequence -19 to 1-.

-- To loosen the camshaft housing -1- install two M8 x 25 bolts -arrows- all the way.

-- Install the bolts alternating from side to side ¹ /₂ turn respectively until the camshaft housing is loosened.

-- Remove the bolts and the camshaft housing.

CAUTION:

Risk of destroying the engine by small parts inadvertently entering with the camshaft housing removed.

- Cover the cylinder head with a clean cleaning cloth.
