Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing From Camshafts, Cylinder Bank 1 (Right): Notes

For the following procedure the camshaft timing chain remains on the engine.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Electronic Torque Wrench 3-60Nm:VAS6583
- Locking Pins:T03006
- Crankshaft Locking Pin:T40069 (with the engine removed)
- Wrench - 21mm:T40263
- Camshaft Lock:T40264/3
- Adapter:T40314
- Camshaft Positioning Tool:T40331 , not illustrated
- Socket :T90000 , not illustrated
- Counterholder:T90001 , not illustrated
- Counterholder:T90002 , not illustrated
- Torque Wrench Insert - Ring Tool Attachment AF41:VAS261001 , not illustrated
- Hazet 6423C (commercially available), not illustrated or Torque Wrench Adaptor:7370/10
Camshaft Locking Device:T40331 , Preparing
- The lettering "A" on the Camshaft Positioning Tool:T40331/1 points forward.
- The Camshaft Positioning Tool:T40331/4 and :T40331/5 as well as the washers on the Bolts :T40331/9 must be positioned using the alignment pins -arrows-.
-- Tighten the bolts hand-tight.
