NOTE:

After aligning the hood with the surrounding body panels, ensure that it closes properly.

-- Raise hood to the position shown.

Dimension -a- = approx. 300 mm (11.81 in.)

-- When allowed to drop freely from this position, the hood must engage properly in the catches and release lever.

-- Check that catches under the hood on both sides, above the headlights, have engaged properly by pulling the hood up sharply.

-- Readjust lock pins if necessary. Refer to Fig. 6 Adjusting Hood Lock Pins .
