Parking Lock Shaft Seal, Replacing: Procedure
- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to the appropriate Service Information.
- Remove the bolts -arrows- and push the coolant pipe for the transmission to the side. (different versions)
NOTE:
Ignore -items 1 and 2-.
- Remove the bolts -arrows- and move the parking lock emer- gency release cable -1- to the side. (different versions)
- Press the tensioning pin -1- out using the Removal Tool -T40437- -A-.
- Depending on the transmission, the parking lock lever may be installed in various positions. See the illustrations above and below.
- Remove the bolt -2-.
- Disconnect the connector -3-.
- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the parking lock cover -1-.
- Remove the seal with the Thrust Piece -T10040/3-.
- Press in the new seal with the Thrust Piece -T10040/3- to the installation dimension 0.5 mm.
