POTENTIAL EQUALIZATION CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Hybrid Battery Unit -AX1-: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

After installing high-voltage components or potential equalization cables, a potential equalization measurement must be performed on the applicable high-voltage components.

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Select and start the ODIS service  mode.

-- Select the special functions  tab.

-- Select the following in this order:

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.

CAUTION:

High voltage increases the risk of fatal injury

Electrocution can cause severe bodily or fatal injury.

- Have an Audi high-voltage technician (HVT) or an Audi high-voltage expert (HVE) start the high-voltage system.

-- Re-energize the high-voltage system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, RE-ENERGIZING .
