Camshaft Housing, Removing And Installing, Cylinder Bank 1 (Right): Removing

-- If installed, remove the engine bracket lower section for the driving dynamic support. Refer to DRIVING DYNAMIC SUPPORT ENGINE BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the right rear lower and upper coolant pipes on the longitudinal member. Refer to RIGHT REAR COOLANT PIPES ON LONGITUDINAL MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Starter Generator:

-- De-energize the 48 Volt system and disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Release the latch -arrow- and open the cover -1- (different versions).

-- Remove the nut -3- and free up the wire -2- (different versions).

-- Free up the wiring duct -2-.

Continuation for All Vehicles:

-- Lift the clamp -1- and disconnect the coolant ventilation line.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -3-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the Camshaft Position Sensor -G40-. (Shown on Camshaft Position Sensor 2 -G163-).
