Parking Lock Solenoid N486/Drive Position Sensor G676, Removing and Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
- Push the Drive Position Sensor -G676- onto the parking lock shaft; while doing so, pay attention to the different notches -arrows- and hand-tighten the bolt -1-.
- Check if the splines on the Drive Position Sensor -G676- are flush with the splines on the parking lock shaft.
- Tighten the bolt -arrow- to the tightening specification.
NOTE:
When installing the Parking Lock Solenoid -N486-, pay attention that the alignment pin is seated correctly
- Install both bolts -arrows- with lightened spring force and tighten to the tightening specification.
- To do this using a pin punch shaft turn the parking lock approximately 3° against the spring force.
NOTE:
Pay attention to the correct installation position!
- The lever from the parking lock is flush to the shaft splines -arrow-
- If necessary align with less spring force!
NOTE:
- If necessary the spring pin can also be pushed in using pliers.
- Never drive in the tensioning pin because the shaft will be damaged.
- Press the tensioning pin -1- in using the Removal Tool -T40437- -A- and -T40437/1- -B-.
