Starter Generator Ribbed Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the A/C compressor ribbed belt from the vibration damper. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
Risk of destroying a used ribbed belt by reversing the running direction.
- Mark the running direction before removal.
- Pay attention to the running direction when reinstalling.
-- Turn the tensioner counter-clockwise -arrow- using the Torx Socket - T60:T40087 to release the tension on the ribbed belt.
-- Secure the tensioner with the Belt Tensioner Locking Tool:T40098 .
-- Remove the ribbed belt from the upper tensioning roller, tun the tensioning roller clockwise until the ribbed belt is completely tensioned.
-- Remove the ribbed belt starting from the starter generator belt pulley.
