Radiator Air Duct, Removing And Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Removal Wedge: T40233
Removing
-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Upper Air Duct:
-- Release the mounting tabs -arrows-.
-- Loosen and remove the air duct -1- with the trim removal wedge from the lock carrier -2-.
Side Air Duct:
Right:
-- Apply the cut -2- on the air duct -1- according to the following dimensions from the curvature -3-.
- Dimension -a- = 92 mm
- Dimension -b- = 18 mm
Continuation:
-- Release the mounting tab -arrow A-.
-- Release the lower air duct -1- in direction of -arrow B-.
-- Free up the breather hose -3- for the headlamps.
-- Loosen the air duct -2- with the trim removal wedge from the lock carrier -4- and pivot to the center of the vehicle and remove it downward.
Vehicles with 8-Speed Automatic Transmission:
-- Release the mounting tab -3- on the air duct in the area of the ATF lines -arrow-.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -2-.
-- Disengage the ATF cooler -1- downward and pivot to the side.
-- Loosen the air duct -4- with the trim removal wedge from the lock carrier and pivot with the air duct downward.
-- Remove the air duct from the ATF cooler.
Lower Air Duct:
-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrow-.
-- Loosen the air duct -2- from the bottom with the trim removal wedge from the lock carrier -1- and remove.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
