Overview - Rear Axle Steering

- Tightening specification. Refer to -Item 9) OVERVIEW - TRANSVERSE LINK - Nut .
- Eccentric Washer
- Tie Rod
- Removing and Installing. Refer to TIE ROD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the tie rod is deformed, the rear axle steering gear must always be replaced as well.
- Bolt
- Always replace after removing
- Rear Axle Steering Gear
- With integrated Rear Axle Steering Control Module -J1019-
- The Rear Axle Steering Control Module -J1019- cannot be replaced separately, if faulty replace the rear axle.
- Removing and Installing. Refer to REAR AXLE STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Checking the orientation. Refer to REAR AXLE STEERING GEAR ORIENTATION, CHECKING .
- Aligning. Refer to REAR AXLE STEERING GEAR, ALIGNING .
- In vehicles without rear axle steering, a steering adapter will be installed instead Fig 2.

- 90 Nm + 180°
- Always replace after removing
- Heat Shield
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
