Airbag Control Module -J234-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing
-- Pay attention to the safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Disconnect the battery ground cable when the ignition is turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear air duct. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
There is a risk of injury.
- Discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Carefully lift the airbag control module -1- from the threaded pins and remove it.
-- Disconnect the connectors -2 and 3-.
-- To do this, release the connector safety catch and open the locking bushing on the connector.
