-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the glove compartment on a soft and clean surface.

-- Remove the hinge pin -1-.

-- Release the damping element -2- direction of the -arrow- and remove it.
